Wearing: Caramel & Cream
Wearing: Forever 21 sweater, skirt, socks, bracelets, rings, bag and headwrap; Payless shoes; Orly polish in ‘Fowl Play.’
I’m feeling like quite the vintage pom-pom girl in this essentially all Forever 21 outfit — the sweater, skirt, socks, rings and headwrap are all part of a huge order I received yesterday and including the bracelets and bag which I previously owned - this entire look with the exception of the shoes is under $100!! This sweater is so cozy and with it’s cropped cut makes it totally wearable with midi and maxi skirts.
Headed out now to a taping of MTV Unplugged ft. Young the Giant and later to some CMJ shows including one for my amazingly talented friend Jake aka Kill the Noise. So talented and can’t wait for a great weekend with friends and music! Promise to post lots of pics starting in like …. 15 minutes… i gotta jet!! xoxo.
Wearing: Totally Jackie
Wearing: Forever 21 top and accessories; Urban Outfitters jeans; Indigo by Clarks desert boots; Jessica Mini c/o Katherine Kwei; Zoya polish in Pandora.
Totally feel like Jackie from That Seventies Show today — totally from the decade with the feminine details we’ve all loved from Jackie’s style. Have a new business pitch with an amazing company and am headed there now. Wish us luck! xoxo.
Wearing: Patterned Prep
Wearing: vintage striped button-up; Marshalls jean shirt; vintage Jones News York blazer; Forever 21 skirt, bow bag, large pearl necklace, rings and gold chain; H&M (tan), vintage (pearl and white) and Forever 21 (gold chained) bracelets; Yamak gunmetal gem necklace; pearls from China; H&M tights; Asos oxfords; Sephora R09 lipstick mixed with mood lipstick; Zoya polish in ‘Pandora.’
I’m always mixing patterns and while this striped top paired with the skirt alone may not have looked quite pulled together and rather haphazard, piling on two more layers of jean and a vintage blazer really pulled the whole thing together. I typically do just a layer on top but with colder temperatures, I’m really loving add-ons!
What a busy day today! In between launching Windows phones for Nokia (they’re awesome) there was plenty of other work and running around the city to be had. Running up to the Gansevoort now to have a celebratory drink wth colleagues and then headed to support a true friend and fashionista, Gabi (aka Gabifreshaka Young, Fat and Fabulous) as she hosts a party for The Limited’s new plus-size line called Eloquii. I first met Gabi when I did PR for MTV around her being the first-ever Twitter Jockey and we became instant friends based on a mutual love for Forever 21. Stay tuned for pics on Twitter tonight! xoxo
Wearing: Forever 21 top, bracelets and triangle gemstone ring; Crossroads skirt; Asos belt; J. Crew sparkly socks; vintage Via Spiga pumps; vintage bag and emerald ring; Brooklyn charm tiny hearts ring; China Glaze polish in ‘Drastic;’ Sephora lipstick in ‘It Girl.’
Did you miss me? I had such a wonderful time Upstate with family and friends, with plenty of vintage shopping, antiquing, coffee chats and donuts and cider. I got back to Brooklyn last night rested and ready to get back to my typical schedule. This morning, I stopped by The Columbia Club to take part in a collaboration shoot with LifeTie, a company making beautiful silk scarves and ties with huge proceeds going to truly collaborative and innovative Cancer research. It was a lot of fun and I cant wait to see and share the final product which includes a number of other fashion bloggers and peeps styling the scarves!
Because I had to quickly pull together two looks for this morning’s shoot, it left little time to think about what to actually wear today so I went for my current loves — dark jewel tones and a little sparkle - these new sparkly socks from J. Crew drew me to them yesterday while running to a few shops. I just cant say no! xoxo.
The next stop on our street style tour: Savannah, Georgia on November 3rd! Stop by for a chance to have your look snapped by Mark Leibowitz for an upcoming issue of Glamour. Here’s a list of places we plan to visit on Thursday - follow @marklphoto for real time updates - Design District, Trustees Theatre, Lucas Theatre, Gustein Gallery, and SCAD’s Eckburg Hall.
